Customer Projects Technical Leader
Job Description:
- Responsible for providing pre-sales technical support/expertise to assist the sales team in their sales effort.
- Act as a single point of contact for all technical topics and master technical risks & opportunities along with all the technical aspects of complex Electrical Distribution system solution (architecture, systems, equipment integration etc.) projects.
- As a specialist in the Power Systems field, you will elaborate alternative/ future solutions and resolve key technical issues leveraging Schneider Electric’s portfolio of products and systems.
- Optimize Technical Solution to meet Customer Target Price and Expected Solution Performance.
- Provide technical support to Opportunity Leaders and Tendering teams.
- Specify technical solutions and lead the technical coordination aspect of projects with all stakeholders internally and externally.
- Work closely with the Project Director/Manager, Contracts Manager and manage the interface with other departments from a technical perspective in ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely technical deliverables in compliance with the contract.
- Lead technical discussions and clarifications with the customer, acting as key contact person for all technical topics. Assess technical risks & opportunities and propose actions. Identify any potential change vs the contract to alert on scope creep and maximize Schneider Electric’s project profitability.
- Take part in the Technical/Design leader Community of Practice within the Execution Center, globally within the Execution Center network and BUs.
- Act as a role model and/or coach for junior technical leaders/ design leaders.
- Perform CT/VT calculation, AC/DC calculation, Heat dissipation calculation etc. as per Project/Tender requirement.
- Prepare compliance to Project specification, TQ replies and attend Technical meetings with customer.
Qualifications:
- Education preferred: Bachelor’s or Master of Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Design or Commissioning experience is required, end-zone experience.
- Good understanding of the client’s problems, technology and industry-specific knowledge is must.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, as well as negotiation and influencing skills in a multicultural environment.
