JOB DESCRIPTION

The Regional Finance Business Partner (RFBP) is a crucial member of NMC’s finance operations team, collaborating with regional business unit management to provide financial analysis and guidance for operational and strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include developing financial models, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities to enhance financial performance.

The RFBP will build and maintain strong relationships with regional business unit heads to ensure financial strategies align with business objectives. They will support the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic priorities. The RFBP must stay updated on healthcare industry changes, assess their impact, and communicate these to the business units. Additionally, they will identify financial risks and opportunities, recommending strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Demonstrable experience in implementing effective financial and operational controls is essential for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and evaluate financial performance, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve financial targets including identifying key areas for cost optimization opportunities.
  • Provide financial analysis and support to regional business unit management teams, including variance analysis, trend analysis and financial modeling. Support in developing feasibility analyses for new projects including developing and quantifying performance improvement initiatives.
  • Work with regional business units to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems of effective internal controls within the regional business units and work closely with assurance providers such as internal control, internal audit and external audit to ensure internal controls over financial reporting are effective.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including corporate finance functions (incl. shared services), revenue cycle management and operations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee the annual financial audit for the regional business units including relevant reporting.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including regulatory and financial changes, and provide insights and recommendations to hospital leadership.
  • Build, manage, develop, and inspire a team of direct and indirect reports in the achievement of business and functional objectives.
  • Develop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of financial and business objectives through collaboration, information sharing, and communication.

Maintain a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the implementation of best practices to enhance financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA, CPA, ACCA, MBA Finance).
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in a financial business partner or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with financial systems and technology, including ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and also with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in Healthcare accounting and finance.
